Baloo is a 21-year-old bay Quarter Horse who embodies everything the breed is famous for—strength, steadiness, and a big heart. The American Quarter Horse holds a special place in history as one of the most versatile and beloved breeds in the United States, excelling in everything from ranch work to racing to being the ultimate family horse. Known for their calm dispositions and “can-do” attitudes, Quarter Horses have been trusted partners for centuries—and Baloo is a perfect example of why.

Leased to our program for the school year, Baloo has quickly become a favorite. With his large build, slow-and-steady way of going, and kind, patient nature, he’s a dream for new riders learning the ropes. He takes everything at a relaxed pace, giving his students the time they need to find their balance, build confidence, and truly enjoy their ride.

Outside of lessons, Baloo enjoys the simple pleasures—food, plenty of scratches, and the company of his beloved girlfriend, Sienna. You’ll often spot the two of them side-by-side in the pasture, perfectly content in each other’s company.
