Meet the herd
At Lakeview, our horses are not tools—they are our partners. Each session, each moment of growth or connection, is made possible because of them. Without these horses, our programs simply wouldn’t exist.
Our herd is made up of a variety of breeds and backgrounds. Some are rescues, others are retired show horses, ranch horses, or beloved companions. Each of our horses brings a unique personality and life story to the work—but not every horse is suited for this role. It takes a special combination of temperament, training, and heart to become a therapy horse. These horses have shown exceptional patience, sensitivity, and a natural ability to connect with people in meaningful ways.
We are deeply committed to their well-being and happiness. Our horses receive the highest standard of care, and we work closely with our veterinarian, farrier, and equine professionals to ensure they stay healthy, comfortable, and thriving.

Want to Spend More Time Around Horses?
Do you love horses and want safe, hands on time with them? Whether you're hoping to learn more about their care, get hands-on experience, or just enjoy time at the barn, we’d love to have you involved!
We're always looking for kind, responsible helpers to assist with feeding, grooming, cleaning stalls, and other daily farm chores. It’s a great way to build confidence, grow your horsemanship skills, and bond with our amazing herd.
We welcome both teens and adults who are eager to learn and willing to lend a hand. If you're interested in volunteering or spending more time at the barn, reach out to us to schedule a time to come by!
